The Employ Florida Banner Center for Creative Industries at the University of North Florida now has a program that makes it easy to take high-quality, affordable online courses and online career training programs.
Through a partnership with ed2go|GES, individuals can develop new skills and knowledge in order to stand out in today’s competitive creative job market. The program allows participants to enhance personal and professional creative skills and prepares them to launch a new creative career or advance in an existing one, no matter the location.
“The Banner Center for Creative Industries is pleased to offer this catalog of courses, which provides the most convenient, affordable and accessible creative career training programs available anywhere,” said Philip Green, state director, Employ Florida Banner Center for Creative Industries at UNF.
Online career training programs are available to start anytime, ranging from three to six months, and many courses offer an extension period, if necessary. Several programs include a creative industry-certification exam, as well as internship and externship opportunities for select programs.
The programs, which are entirely Web-based, include comprehensive lessons, quizzes and a discussion area. Dedicated instructors facilitate every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback and facilitating discussions. Instructors also provide office hours and quick answers to any student’s questions.
The Employ Florida Banner Center for Creative Industries at UNF provides industry-specific training in film, television and new media to educational institutions, businesses, workforce development partners and individuals. This statewide initiative develops relevant curricula in training entry-level workers or those who want to enhance their skills.
